A new design in Access Security Systems manufactured to any Pit size and shape or Access Portal. The checker plate style provides for safe pedestrian crossing at all times while maintaining a pleasant appearance within it's environment.

Steel or Aluminium construction ensures the endurance and robustness needed for long life under extreme variable loading and aggressive treatment and handling.

"Coded" keys are a main attractive feature that facilitates a custom key profile for single customer use.

This prevents access by any other user of similar Access Covers.

A clean and simple ¼ turn actuation will ensure consistent latching and unlatching of the lock mechanism.

A major benefit to be gained with this unique system is found in the engagement of the lid assembly with the key upon unlatching of the lock assembly.

The key supports the assembly and ensures safety in removal of the Cover without bending down thus avoiding potential hazards on the worksite. The key is capable of supporting a load of at least 20kg.

The special lock and key design ensures that the Pit Cover is always left in a locked position because the key must be engaged to release from the lock.

This locking system can also be readily incorporated in existing unlockable concrete pit covers if required.

The Scotch Yoke design principle facilitates an extremely effective locking system with corrosion free and dirt/ grime resistance characteristics ( Shown affixed underneath the Pit Cover).

In this picture, the 3/8" opposing steel latching rods engage matching receptacles places in the Pit walls. The lock barrel is inherently vandal (tamper) proof and discourages unauthorised access.
